Product Description
FIREStat is capable of receiving data
pushed to the software from a
computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system as
well as via direct, manual entry. The
data is entered into FIREStat to
initiate a fire incident report. Med
Media's FIREStat solution is desktop
software application designed to exceed
requirements for electronic data
reporting based on the National Fire
Incident Reporting System (NFIRS).
FIREStat was originally engineered in
1999 and was recently updated to meet
the latest NFIRS and National EMS
Information System (NEMSIS) reporting
requirements. Working in a disconnected
network environment, it replaces hand
written fire incident sheets, follows
the progressive workflow of a call and
helps the user to complete data
collection and reporting requirements in
a fraction of the time compared to
current methodologies.
FIREStat also automates all functions in
a manner that minimizes entry errors and
effectively collects data required by
the United States Fire Administration (USFA)
for incident reporting. It even employs
visual and aural cues to indicate the
absence of required data prior to
closing an incident report. Modules
include basic reporting, casualty, wild
land fire, resource, arson and
personnel. Enhancements to these modules
and additional companion products will
be added in the near future.
